Onboard the Mangusta 105
The Mangusta 105 carries the low, purposeful lines the Italian yard built its name on: a sport hull designed to cover distance quickly, married to a deck plan that still leaves room to sit still. At 31 metres she sleeps twelve guests across four cabins, so she works equally well as a fast day boat out of Puerto Banús or as a base for a couple of nights along the coast.
Guests who charter her out of Puerto Banús often use the speed for something other than getting somewhere fast: a run west toward Estepona and the quieter water near Punta de la Chullera, where the coastline thins out and snorkelling conditions improve, before turning back for a slower final hour along Bahía de Marbella. The hull handles the crossing without the trip itself becoming the point of the day.
Because she can also reach the Gibraltar Strait in range, some charters extend into a longer outing built around the dolphin pods that move through that stretch of water between June and October — though that route calls for an experienced skipper and a look at the tidal window before committing. Ahead of booking, we talk through realistic fuel expectations for whichever route is chosen, and set the APA accordingly rather than quoting a flat figure that doesn't reflect the day planned.
